Lanyards
Fall Protection Lanyards for Secure Tie-Off
A lanyard is the connection between a worker’s harness and an anchor point—making it a critical part of any fall protection system. One end attaches to the harness, and the other connects to a secure anchorage point.
We supply fall protection lanyards designed for secure tie-off, controlled fall arrest, and jobsite durability across a wide range of applications.
Types of lanyards and when to use them:
- Shock-absorbing lanyards – Designed to stretch or deploy during a fall to reduce impact forces on the body
- Positioning lanyards – Used to hold a worker in place while working hands-free (not for fall arrest)
- Tie-off lanyards – Durable options for general connection and restraint applications
Why choosing the right lanyard matters
Fall protection systems rely on multiple components—anchors, harnesses, connectors, and lanyards—all working together to safely arrest a fall.
The wrong lanyard can:
- Increase fall distance
- Reduce effectiveness of fall arrest
- Create compatibility issues with other equipment
